WILLIAM AMADIEU
SCULPTOR OF VIBRATING MATERIALS
I have never really asked myself why I am an artist. I do not believe that one chooses to become an artist. It is an inner certainty that arises naturally, almost like a mission.
When I am not creating, something within me remains unfinished. Creating has become a necessity, a way of giving form to what moves through me, transforming experiences, emotions, and energies that seek expression. To live fully, I need to let this inspiration flow freely and take shape through matter.
Certain defining experiences from my childhood and life journey have deeply shaped the way I see the world. They taught me how to move through the density of existence and to perceive, beyond appearances, the invisible forces that animate life. Along this path, I have often felt guided by something greater than myself, something that continually calls me to create.
This is how my path as a visual artist and sculptor of vibrating matter emerged. I see matter as a living presence, carrying memory, energy, and breath. My work seeks to reveal these vibrations, making visible what usually remains imperceptible.
Each work is, for me, an act of transformation: the transformation of an inner energy finding its form, and of matter itself continuing, in its own way, to breathe.
MATTER. VIBRATION. SCULPTURE.
I sculpt vibrating matter, creating a dialogue with space and the viewer.
The viewer enters a territory.
In my artistic approach, the search for the singular gesture occupies an essential place.
That is why I designed and made some of my own tools, brushes and markers, in order to develop a plastic writing that was of my own.
Each tool generates its own language, each contact with the surface reveals a unique writing, at the frontier between mastery and spontaneity.
I also created a specific medium, conceived as a space for reception and dialogue with the material
On this support, each imprint becomes the trace of an energy in motion, deposited through instruments designed to accompany my research.
My paintings, constructed territories, are thus the result of an entirely personal process, where tool, support and gesture all contribute to the birth of the work.
This research explores the interactions between architecture, organic phenomena and surface irregularities.

Breath of life
The breath of life is an invitation to perceive matter differently, a sensitive exploration of the invisible.
Each work becomes a suspended threshold, inviting to slow down, listen and travel between the terrestrial and the cosmic.
The exhibition revolves around two linked series, like the chapters of a same inner journey: Secret codes and Cities of other Galaxies.
Through sculptural compositions combining centennial wood, lava and natural pigments, William Amadieu transports us into dreamlike landscapes, witnesses of a connection deep between man and the universe.
