WILLIAM AMADIEU

VISUAL ARTIST
Born in Périgueux, France, 1971

Year 2022, a new intuition imposed itself on me, as an inner necessity, an obvious one.

A deep desire to explore a new artistic language has emerged.

From this impulse was born a renewed plastic writing, where my gestures are now expressed through picture-sculptures: free works, inhabited, crossed by the breath of a contemporary poetic and sensory art.

Designer, Master in Art Cabinetmaking, Artistic Director, my work until 2022 was part of a quest for aesthetic perfection, based on the subtle alliance between simplicity and sophistication.

«Sophistication, never imposed, is gradually revealed to the attentive gaze, with delicacy, through the richness of materials (colors, textures, patterns) and the diversity of forms.

Each creation is thought of as a unique work.

I had the privilege of designing works for art collectors, internationally renowned musicians, prestigious wine estates

classified as Grands crus as well as places steeped in history like the Prieuré Saint-Cosme, Demeure de Ronsard, France.

My journey is marked by artistic encounters and renowned exhibitions, (Revelations and Art Paris at the Grand Palais in Paris, Emerging Designer in New York) as many moments of sharing and emotion.

In 2014, this quest for meaning and matter was recognized through my participation in the Liliane Bettencourt competition for hand intelligence, with the work Jazz Drum Haïku.

This singular drum, thought like a poem in volume, mixes precious wood, metal and blows with great precision.

It celebrates the right gesture, silence before sound, where the creator and the musician join in the same pulsation.
